Graduation + 1 (May 2010)
Job + 1 (Warner Bros. Music)
Location + 1 (Los Angles)
Overall Happiness = ∞
A few new developments that I am rather excited about. The album that I did the design / layout for (Serj Tankian - Elect the Dead Symphony) came out worldwide on March 9th 2010. So far I've gotten the digipack version with the CD/DVD combination and I am very proud of the overall package. The entire layout consisted of 145 revisions and three months of work to finish all three (CD/DVD, CD, Vinyl) layouts. This work has given me an entirely new outlook on the graphic design process and has made me realize the importance of revision and critique. I have yet to see how the Vinyl or the jewel-case CD versions came out, but I'm getting some promo copies in the mail soon. (I'll post pictures of the final layouts when they come in)
In semi-related news, I am graduating in May, moving to L.A. in June and becoming a permanent resident of the glorious state of California. I'll be working for Warner Bros. Records once again, and am looking forward to being pummeled by the inevitably horrific earthquake that awaits me.
That is all. I am simply very excited and had to vent before my pants exploded. Apologies to those of you who entered this thread and expected a topic with actual content that you could build upon and use to create an intelligent discussion. I've let you down once again. (/end blog)
