I think I might going to give this one a look.

Btw, how many here know that Orson Scott Card was the dialogue writer for the The Dig (a Lucas Arts adventure game that some consider to be somewhat of a classic)? :)

I only knew him from the Ender's Game series, and some of them were hit and miss.

The Dig is an an epic masterpiece, but the writing is only part of it.
Still, this will be good. Bioware is great with Tie-Ins.

Ironically enough, I was never too fond of The Dig. Looking at similarly themed adventure games (sci-fi, relatively serious [so Rex Nebular and the Cosmic Gender Bender doesn't count]), I liked Beneath A Steel Sky way better.

Orson Scott Card is a creepy hack

The only scumm games I have are Full Throttle and The Dig along with the freely available Flight of the Amazon Queen and Beneath a Steel Sky. Cool that, thanks to SCUMMVM, they all play on my PC, PDA, and Nintendo DS.

Why?

Probably because of his generally conservative leanings.

I wonder if this will sell as well as the Mass Effect comic, my company totally didn't see that one coming.

He's gonna make everyone in Dragon Age straight.

He also wrote the novels tied to Shadow Complex.

He wrote one good book by accident and then wrote nothing but critically panned creepy self-insertion fantasies for the rest of his career

And an odd fascination with Brazilians.

Apart from some of the shadow series, the sequels to the main story were horrid.

The dialogue, and consequently the voice acting, was terrible in a lot of The Dig.

He did write the swordfighting insults for The Secret of Monkey Island, though!
I'm just a little boy.
