If you had to choose just one video game...

If you had to choose just one video game to play for the rest of your life, what would it be?

I think I would choose T etris .

One of the Hitman games. Not sure which, but I've probably played the Hitman series more than any other series of games.

It depends.

If we're talking about any game, I'd probably end up picking something that would keep me in relative shape, like basketball. However, since most non-video games are in the multiplayer-only domain, that might not be possible (especially if this is a "stranded on an uninhabited island" sort of deal).

If we're talking about just video games,
probably Tetris Attack, to keep my mind sharp and to have likely the most number of potential people to play it with me. I'd be sad to not be able to play a number of other close competitors though: a number of Mario games, a number of Zelda games, any of the Smash Bros., any of the Half-Life-based games, a number of the Mario Kart games, Jedi Knight (with any number of its mods that is)... you get the idea.

EDIT: I'm an idiot. Also, Wii Sports Resort might be good too.

In all fairness, probably CS:S (although I don't play it nowadays). Planescape: Torment would come a very close second.

I'm gonna say God of War 3

And I haven't even played it yet, but I'm that confident! But if I had to pick a game I currently own, probably God of War 2.

Garry's Mod. At least there is limitless potential there, and since you'll be playing it til you die, you'll need something with creativity involved.

I guess I've spent 14 years playing Mechwarrior 2 (finished it on hard a month ago, again), so another 50 odd isn't that much. Running out of things to do in it though, as modding is non-existent.
2010-03-22, 7:00 AM #31
Is Mech2 the one with the mission where you had to walk a really, really long way, blow a reactor, and then get out of range before the blast?

I'd play the game of life.

(And holy crap the blinking cursor thing is missing. It's really weird typing without it. Where did it go!?! I hope it comes back)

Are you talking about a videogame version of the board game or are you talking about the micro-organism lil' game here? :ninja:

Since it's the only game I could ever play, it would have to be something with extremely high replay value, which almost certainly means multiplayer. Even though I don't play it often, something like TF2 would be the best choice because the DLC keeps the game going. Unless you are ruling out updates, however.

I'm talking about if I could only play one game for the rest of my life, I wouldn't bother playing it.
