4-pack comes out to like $18.75 per person

Does anyone still play? I'm contemplating. ..

I play it on and off (got the game through Triscuit, truest of all bros). If you enjoyed the first game, I'd recommend it. You can play some decent campaign games through PUGs, but avoid Versus and Scavenge unless you have friends to play with.

The number of players has dwindled a bit, but expect it to jump back up from this deal and the upcoming DLC.

One of my favourite memories from the first game was pommy playing it for the first time and stopping to fight off the horde at the end of No Mercy when the copter showed up whilst everyone else fled.

Nobody saved him. :P

I still refuse to buy it on the grounds that people won't admit its a Left 4 Dead mod.

New Concept, New Engine, New Genre. One of these = New Game.

New skins, levels, weapons, menus = Mod.

Well honestly I agree with you, but...

It's a mod that improves on the game in everyway. Once you start playing L4D2, you pretty much never go back to L4D1. Well I probably will once the new DLC is released, but I'm diehard.

I'm pretty sure that everyone but valve admits that its pretty much a mod. That said it's a mod that improves upon every facet of the original.

That's all well and good, but I don't think they should have opened it at the price they did. I doubt I will ever get it, if I do, it'll have to be under $20. So, if anyone wants to go in on a 4 pack, hit me up.

MoTS is a mod.
Also I don't get it, If something is worth the money, be it a mod or not. buy it. A game doesn't need a new engine and everything to be good.

Pay no attention Echoman. When I encounter people like that I usually turn around and go play whatever game they've boycotted. Strangely it's a more fun than usual gaming session for some reason.
