So, apparently I have a Star War sugar-momma at my church. This weekend she gave me all three sets (for the OT) of metallic collector's cards. And the book "I'd Just As Soon Kiss A Wookiee", which is just a quote book and rather lame.

Anyway, the cards are metal. Strange. Never seen anything like those before. Each set of 20 (per movie) is only going for about $20 on Ebay, but still, they're kinda cool.

I'm a big SW fan, but have never been a collector (except maybe you could say I collect a lot of the novels).

Below are 5 cards from each of the three OT films, all 60 cards together, and Leia in a bikini.

What do you OLD PEOPLE (Chewbubba, Darth Dan) think of the prequels?

I'm sure if you ask 100 people you get 100 different opinions.

I think the prequels are ok, but they are missing the magic of the OT. What that magic is... I'm not exactly sure. Better acting? Real sets? More thematic music? Leia in a bikini? :awesome:

IMO, the magic's called "childhood." :) Though it may be Leia in a bikini after all.

pretty much the same with me, but the only thing is I loved the prequels almost as much as the OT, except the acting in ep1 and ep2 could of used some improvement. EP3 almost measured up to the OT and it kicked ass.

And from what Koobies talking about, Leia in a bikini was an important part of my childhood.:P

Yeah I wanted to know what people who actually lived the first wave of the Star Wars craze thought of the prequels, because I usually only hear the tween opinions (my own age group).
Looks like we're not going down after all, so nevermind.
