I bought it for the ipod so I guess its not an April Fool's joke but I don't know about the Mobile Site (which should work too I think).

It was pretty douchey of them to put the app up for sale, then a little while later block the Mobile Safari user agent so that people couldn't use the site on the iPhone (despite it working just fine).

maybe it was a lame business technique
see how many people would buy it for $50
whatever, it's still pretty cool

Piece of junk. Maybe useful for a few specific questions, but needs way more information to even come close to being of worth.

Umm, it's pretty robust in what it can do mathematically. $2 for graphing calculator functionality is a steal.

Since they added the step by step tool as well, it is a good way to refresh yourself on certain topics.
