I saw that on BBC this morning. That's a terrible blow. I wonder why they'd have so many important officials on one flight.
? :)

Apparently they cut costs because of a national recession. Of all the things to cut costs on, this bit of security is vital to the country. How much money will be lost because of this? Seems like an a worthy investment to protect your leadership, especially during a recession.

I know large amount of fog was involved in the crash, but I also heard that the Polish officials ride on aged 20+ year old Soviet-made aircrafts.

Well actually we are the only country in Europe witch didn't have a recession. And no it had nothing to do with cutting costs.

They were all going to Katyń. A place in Russia where 20+ thousand officers were killed by soviet special forces during WWII. It's an anniversary today.

That doesn't make any sense, though. Flying officials in different planes is security 101. Someone who claims to be Polish told me they did have a recession...

The Russians did it. Look for the coming invasion.
Code to the left of him, code to the right of him, code in front of him compil'd and thundered. Programm'd at with shot and $SHELL. Boldly he typed and well. Into the jaws of C. Into the mouth of PERL. Debug'd the 0x258.

On the "bright" side, their president doesn't do much. The prime minister is the head of government.
It took a while for you to find me; I was hiding in the lime tree.

Well they could be confusing a slow down with a recession.

Well to be fair I think you're right. To many important people on that plane. They should have taken two. I'm pretty sure some heads will roll. But for now no one relay knows any details. We'll have to wait a week or two.

It's funny because these people were all over the news like every day. I liked some of them, hated some. But it is a huge loss none the less.

Poland didn't have enough of an ecomony to have a recession. That's why half the country moved to other places in europe a few years ago. :ninja:

But yeah, sad.
nope.

Sorry but what you just said is stupid.

Poland's economy is twice as big as Belarus and Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia or Romania. That didn't stop those country's from falling very low last year. (-8 to -20 GDP). I don't know what world you live in but a country witch is a part of the EU has to have a large economy otherwise it would not be in the EU.

We made the right choices during the crisis. Better than most other country's.

And people moving has nothing to do with the size or the scale of an economy. It's about how much they earn. It's more of a currency issue. When Euro was worth about 4.5 złotych (currency in Poland) people were leaving massively because it's better to earn 1500 Euro than 1500 złotych right?

So a yeah. I'm gonna go to sleep now.
