How much have you spent for hobby/recreational use? This includes hardware and software.
If you use your computer for legitimate work purposes, don't include it.
If you use your computer for your "music/web host/video editing" business that generates only a little bit of revenue, we'll consider that "hobby" use. By "work" I mean "I make my living with this thing." I'm not talking about gas money while you're in college, or beer money from your web hosting services, but actual "I pay rent and buy food with this cash" money.
I've probably spent about $500 in the last 10 years. That has only been on incidental stuff like cheap speakers, a wireless keyboard/mouse, a wireless router now and again, and minor cables and crap. I get my computers for free when we upgrade at work. They're 3+ years old, but they work fine and come with Office (legal). I only use my home computers for web, documents, and photos -- no games, movies, or music, other than web-related, like Hulu or Pandora.
