Any Eurossassians affected by this? And do the clouds look like overcast?

I know some people who've had cancelled flights, but the skies near Heathrow are completely clear of any clouds.

My sister's boyfriend's parents are stuck in New York thanks to the ash and no it looks fairly clear skied outside. Also this is pretty cool.

Those aren't clouds. It's a fog & vikings are coming to a town near you to rape & pillage.
? :)

And they aren't picky when it comes to rape.

You know, airplanes piss me off. In our cars we have air intake pipe systems with air filters. Every time a bird flies by or "volcanic ash" is floating in the atmosphere, air planes can't fly.

It's a bit hard when airplanes, especially turbine driven ones, suck in a lot of air.

A friend of mine is stuck in Scotland at the moment because of it.

yeah, after they get done raping and pilliging people they will force you into a credit card account and charge you 50% interest and if you are late they will come back again and dismember you and steal the credit card and max it out and then depart back into the Icelandic Volcano.

I was expecting an awesome cloud of ash going over the Netherlands. Instead of an awesome grey cloud we got some amazing sunsets. I (L) CO2 and suffocating- and poisoning particles in the evening.

It was raining ash in bits of scotchlant a few days ago.
nope.

Yes, quite affected, yes. Not personally, but at work a bunch of people from UK couldn't make it to our Budapest office - most of them we were looking forward to talking with.

Here in the Netherlands the weather pattern was such that the cloud wouldn't move away. It wasn't anything you could see by looking at the sky though.

Airspace has been closed from Thursday to Monday. There's still no air traffic at the moment but they are trying out new routes.

Also, it's not like it's nonsense, volcanic ash has caused planes to crash.

I flew back from Kenya on Wednesday, so I was very lucky as if my flight had been a day later I'd be stuck in Amsterdam still.

But that wouldn't compare to the fate of some of the businesses we were looking at in Kenya, like the flower and vegetable farmers who've had to lay off 5,000 staff
