happy 4/20 gentlemens

Well, I almost never smoke any more.

4/20 is an occasion where I will.

So, no, it's not "omg I get high every day today is totally special"

One of my steam friends wished me happy 4/20 today. He had to explain to me what it was.
Life is beautiful.

And not that I have anything against people who smoke weed, but it really pisses me off when more pressing and tragic issues (columbine, oklahoma city bombing) are overlooked for as Rob said, a stupid excuse to get stoned.

How are they overlooked? It's all I heard on the radio today.

This makes me feel old because it feels like we just had 4/20 a few months ago. The last year went by fast (and no, this is not attributed to drugs)

My brain goes into overdrive when I get high. It's really quite unpleasant. Extreme paranoia/anxiety. I smoked for the first time a week ago after quitting almost three years ago and I did not enjoy it one bit.

Same here. I had one panic attack so bad, I was contemplating calling 911. I felt like my heart was gonna pop out of my chest.

Weed is decriminalized where I live. Suck it.
Think while it's still legal.

Yeah, me too. I also over-analyze things especially when it comes to social situations, seeing things that may or may not be there (when high). Thus, the only times I smoke are when I'm about to eat, watch tv/movies, or play games. Getting high before meeting new people or going to places with lots of people is pretty much out of the question.

Conversely, all I heard was weed references on my radio at work.

I think you're generalizing... People can get incredibly creative when high... Myself especially when I'm making music. You'll make associations that you normally wouldn't.

I agree it's silly to celebrate something you do every day. But there are so many people who only do it occasionally, so what's the big deal.

Smoking all day may make people dysfunctional, but not nearly as dysfunctional as when they would be drinking all day.

As a pothead and huge proponent of Marijuana and its legalization, even I can admit that 4/20 is a ridiculously dumb day. If you're not a stoner or you barely smoke, sure, I can see the appeal. But if you're a pothead that smokes every day regardless of whether it's 4/20, 4/21, 6/20, or whatever, it's just a regular ****ing day you moron.

Yeah, I just saw it this morning. The Flash reader is a bit irritating so I gave up a few dozen pages in & just printed it out to finish later.

Well I listen to news talk radio, and you probably listen to whatever crap is playing on any FM station at any time.

But I really enjoy smoking marijuana, it is extremly relaxing after a stressful day. I also love to smoke while doing creative tasks (I feel like I'm repeating myself from previous threads). The only time I will avoid smoking is the morning before race day. I need to make sure my focus is in check.

I only smoke while I'm in bed, and while I'm using hairspray, and at the library, and while at the gas station.

Calm down mate, no one is attacking you and you certainly shouldn't be getting aggressive with me over something so trivial.

This is no different from saying America celebrates a massacre of Polish professors by the Nazis on an annual basis. A bit weird as well, that.
Looks like we're not going down after all, so nevermind.
