They've been waiting for permission for a looong time. Now that they have it, at least things can move forward.

New content at least, it should have the Clan/IS mechpacks, along with mektek packs 1-3.

Vengeance/Black Knight campaigns will likely get added at a later date also.

Mech4 did a second sequel under the same title called Mercenaries, along with other expansions like Black Knight and the Clan/IS mech packs

Do any of these add on packs let you leg people?

I know in the crysis mod you can leg people but everyone gets pretty upset. I heard they took it out of 4 to make it fair and balanced which is lame because the way I balanced my shadowcat for legging + the speed to get away was more than fair.

Either way it wasn't a big deal, because if I wasn't legging I was running around behind people and hitting them in the back with streak SRM salvos followed by a round or two of the shotgun thing.

I've been trying to play MW1 recently... but it doesn't seem to like me, outside of dosbox it's too fast when using moslow. dosbox is the right speed, but it crashes. I need to try speedset to see if that will do it...

finally downloads the damn thing and THE ****ING PIECE OF MOTHER****ING ******** ASKS FOR THE ****ING DISC

for this launch we have...

1. horrible HORRIBLE downloader
2. disc check on a downloaded game
3. their website is down at the time of this post
4. we were originally promised all things MW4 and only got Mercenaries

wtf not only does the download manager use Stardock's slow skinning engine, it is built on XULRunner.

MZZT apparently though instead of making the initial download the patched version there is a second download with the patch

but with the website down the downloader only gives a neverending stream of errors telling you mektek.net can't be found

My download speed yesterday was something like an average of 10 kb/s. Today I'm getting around 300 though, so you might want to try it out today with the MekTek one (though the interface still sucks).

I just finished downloading it. I try to fire it up and it asked me to insert disk 2 of the MW4 CD's. What?

Well, atleast it's easy enough to just pirate the thing. Looks like these *******s didn't even test this at all. Probably just installed the game, zipped it, and put it in a torrent.

it's sad that something others have done without massive failures in the past can still be ****ed up so completely

apparently even the torrent file mzzt posted still needs the downloader to open and install it and apparently the downloader is refusing to open the .mtx file possibly because it completely refuses to function if mektek's site is down

It's a zip file- just change the extension.
