Yes yes, we have already had the 'LEGO sets are expensive' discussion. But it has 5,000 peices... that's really not bad.

Figuratively speaking: Let's say you guys, at your age, buy this thing. What the hell are you going to do with it? Hold it in your hands and run through your house/apartment?

What's so fun about Lego after you've reached the age of 12/13?

Um, yea? :awesome:

What the hell else would we do with it?
Stick it up our bum? That doesn't seem like it would be fun, but it seems up your alley.

Now now, is that necessary? What makes you think I would like to stick lego (or any other object) up my ass?

I can remember throwing home-made spaceship into walls, letting them explode in the individual Lego-pieces they were built of. I just can't really image that being fun right now. Sorry for asking the question, I'll go back to my cave now.

All of the above, while Star Wars music blasted out of my speakers! :D

On a more serious note, I wouldn't buy it.

Build it and look at it. It is possible to enjoy the activity of creation, you know. Considering your other post, even as kids we enjoyed the same toy differently. The only time I dismantled a lego set was to build something else, and I certainly didn't smash them. Otherwise, I still have the funky spaceships I made when I was like 9.

Well, I think it would be cool just to have sitting someplace as a model.

But you've never played legos since you were young? I love playing with all my younger cousins, it's a blast. You're missing out, you should play with some legos some time soon.

I wouldn't buy it, but if I were a collector of star wars items, this would make an awesome addition to the room. I still like LEGO stuff (at 22 years old) because of the creative nature. It requires planning and more advanced thinking for kids to build their ships and cars and buildings to play with than it does to simply buy hot wheels or space ships or whatever. Same goes today, occasionally I like to consider what it would be like to build complex things (like my Companion Cube model I'm slowly working on) out of LEGO bricks.

Besides, don't bash it. Some old guy at LEGO parks gets paid very well to build this junk all day. Best. Job. Ever.

Just revel in the censors. You can have great fun with them. Like in this thread, referenced above: Who in the hell would shove ***** up their butt? he he

Anyway, a couple weekends ago I went to an open house at a state university. In the engineering department some students were showcasing their Lego robots. I asked them if they call them ***** or not and they all said they're ***** and seemed confused that anyone would call them different.

Yeah how about this? a couple years ago a buddy of mine came over after work and we were drinking a few beers and he spotted our 10 gallon cap. tote tub full of ***** that we collected since our kid was 5 years old (he just graduated). He said "I love *****, and I still like to build em." (he's in his forties). I said "Hell lets dump them out on the living room floor." Here was two adults drinking beer and building Lego thingys. My wife told him that his secret was safe with her as she was giggling.

How are some posts censored and others aren't?

Because on the relevant word "*****" is censored.
