Lost Planet 2 and Red Dead Redemption
2010-05-06, 5:15 AM #1
So Lost Planet 2 and Red Dead Redemption are coming out on the 11th and 18th respectively. Both aim to have some very good co-op options, the first being entirely built with co-op in mind, while the latter comes with a Free Roam mode and a free Co-op missions pack in june.

I'm kind of testing the waters to see who's getting it, who would be interested in some games, and which consoles they are getting it on. I'm torn between the PS3 and the Xbox for both games.

So who's getting which and on what console? Are you interested in some coop action?

I really liked the LP2 demo, but I probably won't pick it up for a while. I still have to finish The Wind Waker (yes, I'm 7 years late), and then Demon's Souls.

Apparently Lost Planet 2 is getting some low reviews (mid-range) because of various flaws, but from what I've read they are mostly not things that would bother me, especially when it comes to coop, so I'll be getting it anyways.

I really love westerns (movies, shows, games, boots, etc.) so I might be getting Red Dead Redemption on Xbox.

After I get Splinter Cell, of course.

Westerns haven't been cool since Sunset Riders :D

I have PS3 and XBox, but I always go with XBox for multiplayer (given the choice). Looking forward to Red Dead Redemption, also Alan Wake and Skate 3.

Red Dead Revolver was one of my favorite XBox games so I'm definitely looking forward to Redemption

I'm also really into westerns, and the premise for the co-op/multiplayer is right out of my dream videogame. I am going to get RDR for the PC (assuming it is eventually released).

However, I was really disappointed by GTAIV. I kind of assumed all of the vehicle customization would still be there, and I don't even like when my real cell phone rings, why would I enjoy my simulated cell phone interrupting me en route to a mission in a videogame?

But looking around all I can find are a few Digg comments that provided this insight. Video Game reviews are really useless, so I'm especially unsure about RDR. The story Rockstar tells about their games and the actual game aren't always matching.

I hated that stupid thing. I can't stand when my real cell phone rings

LP2 is on my gamefly queue. Maybe I should send back FFXIII and get it.
