While Gold wasn't necessarily trying to SCAM anyone, he really didn't realize how inappropriate it was to tell people on a forum he can be their travel agent, keeping them safe, etc. If someone started trying to sell stuff (besides games or something obvious), they'd probably get banned too so I don't see why anyone thinks vacation tickets are any different.

You're totally right. In fact, using that reasoning, I should stop banning adbots too! Because, you know, no one here would fall for it so no reason to ban!

It doesn't matter how it's classed. It was way over the line, and he refused to provide the proper details, so it was a scam, or at best, a horribly bad plan that would have been a nightmare for anyone involved.

I've had this whole discussion with everyone when he was banned. I have no interest in repeating myself again.
