Oh, I'd also like to read either Ender's Game or A Canticle for Leibowitz. Has anyone here read either of them and would recommend one (or both)?

If you haven't read Ender's Game, you need to read it. One of the best sci fi books I've ever read. The sequels are pretty good too.

Reading book five in the Dark Tower Series: Wolves of the Calla.

I plan on finishing the Dark Tower series and I'm almost done with the Left Behind series. I'm also waiting for the next book in the Fate of the Jedi series.

Hile gunslinger! How did you (not) enjoy Wizard and Glass? Which part are you at?

I'm about to go downstairs after I do laundry to hopefully finish up The Dark Tower VI: Song of Suzannah.

Next is obviously The Dark Tower VII: The Dark Tower.

After that, I was given a grip of books by Vince Flynn. Anybody read his stuff? Gifter said they would be good.

Has anyone read any Robert Silverberg? I've read several of his books & have quite a few of his first edition hardbacks. I really enjoy him but don't know anyone that's familiar w/ his work.
? :)

A book about Marie Antoinette (nonfiction) and a contemporary romance (romantic suspense subgenre)

I figure you guys don't know or care about the title or author for the romance novel :P

Sug doesn't read ones with anything fun on the cover... That way she can go in public with her smutty books. ;-)

I'm trying to get through a biography of Bloody Mary, then I'm going to read "A Farewell to Arms."

I'm wanting to read the Dexter sequels... I've only read the first. I've also been reading Rainbow Six and Watchmen again for the millionth time. I need to go pick up a new copy of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas so I can read it a billion times again. Also reading The Illiad again and I flip through I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell all the time.

I read Oleanna the other day because my brain felt like it needed a workout, and David Mamet's dialog can do that for you.

You know, I want to find one with the most ridiculously cliche covers with the dress falling off and the mullet and the flowing tresses and the ridiculous pose, and take it on the metro. And when some pompous smartass asks me what I'm reading, I'll tell them something like "a postmodern assessment of the middle eastern conflicts which analyzes the role of bicommunal media as a possibility of commonality development in furthering peace negotiations" or some ridiculous nonsense like that. Just to see their reaction.

Just read 'Marooned in Realtime'. Great, and relevant to current thoughts and events in my life,

i think i have been avoiding rereading those books because i know i'll have to get through that one again. its not a bad book, but it always seems like a chore.
My girlfriend paid a lot of money for that tv; I want to watch ALL OF IT. - JM

That's it. It's a chore. It's also ****in' disturbing where Susan gets her examination from Rhea of the Cöos. I was like "OH GOD SHE'S SIXTEEN I FEEL DIRTY!" .

Also, did I all ready recommend Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson? It's a wonderful blend of virtual reality, sword fighting, and linguistics. It also features Raven, the baddest mother****er in the world.

One of my favourite books ever, that.
