Holy kak! That expression brings back some memories.

OMQ! wraa

I've heard Ellison's name like a hundred billion times but I never have any idea what he's done. Wikipedia ahoy!

It shames me to admit that I've never read any of his books or stories. Likewise, I've never seen any of his interviews before. I've read that his stuff is at least as much Sci-Fi classic must-reads as Clarke and Asimov. I've got some catching up to do.

Didn't this guy claim credit for the Terminator universe? And James Cameron denied it, but ended up having to give in and credit him in some DVD release (which I heard was later removed as well).
Looks like we're not going down after all, so nevermind.

Dreams with Sharp Teeth is on Netflix Instant--it's a great documentary on Ellison.

Yep, Krokodile, you're right, he's the guy.

On getting paid (very mean words are used, so make sure you have an adult's consent if applicable):

I've just listened to half a dozen or so author's interviews (with mainstream and science fiction writers), and they all sound like they have egos of planet-size masses (except for maybe, again, Asimov and Clarke).

This guy sounds like he's incredibly tired of humans. o_O

Also, I've never known that the 1995 adventure game I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream was based on his short story of the same name.
