Aah man, the memories

being an avid lakers fan that watched the jazz beat the lakers repeatedly in the playoffs when I was a kid I hated John Stockton

He and Karl Malone; Ebony and ivory.

I got scared that this was another death thread.

John Stockton was a dirty dirty dirty player (but in the way that he was good enough that he could get away with it). Watching him set picks was basically watching him trip people.

I love to 'troll' the Jazz fans here in Southern Utah when their team gets beat.

You know, I didn't expect that John Stockton, I expected some obsure guitar player or something

RS, too bad he couldn't do all that to win game 1 (btw I'm rooting for Celtics. But the way Kobe is playing, it'll be tough)

My dad and I used to joke that the best player in the league was "Stocktontomalone."

Pierce had a great stat line, you can't put the loss on his shoulders. Ray Allen needs to stay out of foul trouble and Garnett needs to put Gasol back in his place.

Meh, I can place blame on people with great stat lines WHENEVER I WANT DAMNIT (*cough* Lebron *cough) :)

likewise, Kobe had 30, 7, and 6. That's not a whole lot better.

So John Stock vs. Steve Nash...who's better? Both of them will probably go down as one of the best point guards who never won a championship.
2010-06-06, 7:11 PM #18
Depends on what you are looking for I think. Stockton for assists, Nash for scoring and somewhat everything else. I still stand by that one of the most amazing stats Nash has going for him is his 90% FT shooting.

BTW: GO RAY ALLEN! WOOO. Ray Allen has been my homeboy ever since I loved basketball.

8/11 from beyond the arc, was impressive. I will not take that away from him.

Lakers played like **** today. I saw little to no defense. Ray was left WIDE OPEN a lot of the time and Rondo had easy paths to the basket. Rebounding was a mess too. Celtics got a lot of 2nd chance opportunities.

And not to get all "IT WAS THA REFFS!" but that was a terribly called game. You all can't deny that.

Steve Nash is still playing. However, I don't see them getting past semis next year. Although depends on what the off season happens and what they do with Stoudemire.
Code to the left of him, code to the right of him, code in front of him compil'd and thundered. Programm'd at with shot and $SHELL. Boldly he typed and well. Into the jaws of C. Into the mouth of PERL. Debug'd the 0x258.

It was a terribly called game on both sides, you can't use that excuse. If you're going to, I'll just blame the game 1 results on the refs too.

Yeah this was a terribly ref'd game, but I agree with RS, it was on both sides. And regarding Game 1, Kobe was definitely getting the star treatment (not to mention Derek Fisher is an ULTIMATE flopper).

I totally knew that Kobe was gonna stay in with 6 minutes left in the 4th quarter of this game w/ 5 fouls because I bet Phil was 100% confident that the NBA would NEVER let their star player foul out of a close finals game.

Maybe not Kobe, or the LeBrons of the world, but I guarantee any Celtic could have fouled out and the NBA wouldn't bat an eyelash. It's grade A bull****.

Rondo continues to amaze me... I hate you for having him, zully...

I have no idea how a dude who's my size manages to be the most exciting player in the NBA....

Not to mention being so proficient at rebounds for his size. I do hope Rondo improves his free throws though.
