Futurama returns in just a few weeks. Anyone else utterly stoked for this? I hope it really takes off this time. Another amazing show dumped by the Box network.

Totally stoked. My friend has every season and all the movies. We sat and watched every last episode. We've been waiting for it to happen. Not sure where they're putting the storyline though. I think they might put it sometime before the last movie. Seems kind of hard to follow up with the same humor and character relationships after that ending. Also, love the Box/Fox refrence... classic

I have seen it all atleast 4 times, I pray this doesn't suck.

No no, they are dropping the story in right after the last movie. They literally make a joke about how the wormhole was the "Panama Canal Wormhole".. I don't remember the exact joke, but it was the Professor, and he made it funny.

I look forward to the episode regarding how Prof. met Zoidberg.

edit: Also, welcome new guy?

The Professor makes everything funny. The writers are awesome like that, lol. So they keep the Fry & Leela relationship going then? I mean, sure, I wanted them together. The few times Fry went out to prove his love to her (such as the worms episode, the one where he wrote 'I love you Leela' in the stars, and original last episode) were beautiful. However, they are probably going to go and say "They thought they they were going to die and just did it" thing.

Thanks I guess. Welcome back would be more appropriate though. Long story...

I would think they come up with some genius excuse to keep romantic tension between them. There's too many jokes there that would die if they actually allowed them to be together.

WTF? This has gotta be like the 4th time, like Tibby said. Just let it die in peace.

I'm glad to see it come back, and I'm sure it'll be good, though I have a feeling a lot of people might be raising the bar unrealistically high.

I really don't think it can let me down. As long as it matches the old humor, I will enjoy it. I still laugh at most episodes, and I've probably seen every ep no less than 5 times.

You misunderstand; he meant he has seen all of the episode four times.

It's only been "killed" once, but was revived by Fox for the four "TV movies" a few years ago when Comedy Central expressed interest in the series. Comedy Central has since ordered a full season of episodes.

I'm not going to get my hopes up, not after those craptastic movies.

Cool, didn't even know about this.

Those movies really sucked in my opinion, but from an interview with Cohen where he was telling about a multitude of the new stories in this season, I am really excited again.

One that particularly interests me is apparently they build a time machine that can only go forward, and when trying to only jump 1 minute ahead, they accidentally jump 1,000 years ahead, and keep having to jump ahead till someone creates a time machine that can go backwards.

Sounds funny, but I can see it coming out like the Box Universes episode. Which was pretty f**king funny so I'm not going to complain. I just don't want them to recycle too many jokes or plots or too often.

I didn't even know we had that!!

The movies were hit and miss with me. I didn't really like Bender's Big Score, but loved Bender's Game. Didn't like Beast of a Billion Backs, but loved Into the Wild Green Yonder.

Regardless, laughs will be had.

A couple of the movies were awesome, the others were... well, better then a lot of others movies out there, just not up to futurama's standard.

David Cross made Beast with a Billion Backs hilarious.
DO NOT WANT.
