An enjoyable over-the-top film in the vein of A-Team if you don't look at the movie too deeply. The plot was alright; I do however hate the plot device
of June being knocked out repeatedly. It's a quick cop out to explain some of the escape sequences. For instance, how did Roy take out all of the FBI guys on the freeway alone and emerge alive? What about escaping from the island in that antique helicopter, while a fighter jet is blasting away at you?
The action sequences are well filmed though. Shaky cam is not used in abundance like so many movies this year. Some of the CGI effects are a bit obvious, but they're not quite as bad as some other movies.
Suffice to say, Cruise and Diaz's performances helped carry this movie. Cruise is still very convincing as an action hero. Diaz's turn around in her character did feel a bit strange and sudden though.
