Got it today. Raven Software in their prime. I would recommend it to everyone who likes a small scare when playing with the headphones. :) Anyone else got it??

I remember thinking the concept was awesome when I first heard about it (and those conspiracy videos were fantastic) but after seeing more and more videos of it in action I became less impressed.

I'll probably still buy it, though.

Joystiq.com wasn't too impressed. Let us know what you think after you've gone through the whole game.

I'm half way trough right now and I must say it builds up at times just to scare the living **** out of you. :psylon: Levels look nice, guns are fun (dah), the story's not bad, the TMP is a fun gizmo so overall it's just fun. I would say it's quite a bit better than Wolfenstein and the marine story in the new AVP.

I don't understand the concept behind the time mechanics.

So you can point the weapon at something and transform it ... to a state in it's previous timeline?

Yeah but it has it's limits. It only works on things witch were in contact with the e99 element (witch is the reason time manipulation is possible and I imagine they had to make a limit anyway), so barrels, crates, some element's of the architecture, enemy's. You can also freeze things in time (works on everything). You can use the radiation to mutate people. Like I said It's a cool gizmo.

There are points in the game where the time manipulation device is charged and used on some really big stuff.

Game spot gave the game a 8.

BTW there are 3 endings to the game witch also makes the whole thing a bit more interesting.

I saw a few trailers for this and I understand the concept, but I'm wondering if the time mechanic is too much of a gimmick leaving the gunplay poor and the rest of the game bad (see: Fracture). Is it good in the other areas besides its mechanic?
A dream is beautiful because it remains a dream.

Yep. The guns work really well (PC with a mouse, don't know about pads). It's hard to explain because what a gun basically does is... well shoot and kill so... :colbert: But they work well. Just type it in on youtube for some gameplay. But the "device" doesn't cause problems if you don't want to **** around and just shoot something.

Most guns are standard, some are e99 prototypes and have some special abilities like guiding the bullets or grenades to the target (which actually works, unlike other games that tried that).

Single player is standard game time about 6-7h depends on the difficulty. Witch is a bit short for me. I want my 15h games back!

It's just fun, so if any of you don't have what to play I'd recommend buying or renting. It's not ground breaking but definitely very solid.

I'm actually kind of surprised no one here played it yet. :awesomelon:
