I personally think it's pretty :awesome:, but obviously I don't know too much about the ins and outs of the deal and the rationale behind it.

I know Massassi is a bit of an odd place for M&A discussion, but if any of you are up for it and have opinions on / know more about what competencies Amazon might hope to gain from the acquisition, why this is strategically a good / bad idea, how Amazon can successfully integrate Woot and get what they want to out of the deal, how the integration might affect Woot, how Amazon might ruin Woot's culture with crappy integration, how Woot sold out, how the evil empire is growing, etc. I'd live to discuss :XD:

The blog title sums it up nicely

"AMAZON BUYS WORLD'S BIGGEST BAG O' CRAP, AND IT'S CALLED WOOT"
"Nulla tenaci invia est via"

Hopefully they will stop putting gibberish all over their page. Seriously, the product descriptions are moronic.

Brian, you're in danger of overtaking CM as the usual example of someone who doesn't like ANYTHING. :P

In his defense, I'm not a big fan of them either. They were kind of quirky and funny at first, but now I truly just find them annoying. I dislike having to Google search an item or read through the 200+ comments on the woot page to find out whether or not it's actually worth buying.
