Predators

Saw it earlier today. Entertaining B movie that might follow the first movie (this is a sequel to the first movie) a bit too similarly at times. Aside from two scenes, the movie actually didn't feel too gory. Kind of wish there was a "Get to the chopper!" tribute, but I guess that's not impossible given the fact that the characters are on a Predator planet.

Katana battle with the Predator was incredibly badass. Hanzo was able to go toe to toe with the Predator instead of relying on deception, not something you see everyday.

What's with this sequel to movies that already have sequels business?

It's like a reboot sequel... it's not rebooting the original... it's starting where the original left off and taking it in the right direction. I hear it's badass.

It was badass. If you have any doubts of seeing Adrian Brody playing an action star, this film can change your mind.

All the acting was pretty good, as far as that goes. Heck, Topher Grace wasn't too bad in this. Good movie, going to be in my collection when it comes out.
obviously you've never been able to harness the power of cleavage...

Glad to hear it's better, but I still think they needed to do the AvP movies just like the games. In the Alien universe future, where you have colonial marines. So badass.

I liked it.

The way the convict (Boyd Crowder) went out was my favorite.

It was not as bad as I thought it would be, it was ok. Not really... good, though.

But the taking of the spine is pretty great.

I saw Predators opening day. I had to. I'm a sucker like that.

I don't feel suckered though. I give this movie a solid 3 out of 4 stars. I just wish I had seen more of the predator's weapons, or more intensely gory scenes. Some sweet pred-on-pred action occured too. ;)

Saw it. I thought it was extremely disappointing. This is a movie about predators on their home planet, and it still managed to feel like a really generic action-thriller where you know what's gonna happen next. I did like how Brody's character (Royce) wasn't your average trying-to-do-the-right-thing protagonist, it seemed like he was loooking out for himself more than anything... until they made him shift tone entirely and only care about saving the woman.

Kick Ass remains the best movie I've seen this year.
Looks like we're not going down after all, so nevermind.
