I'm going through the matinee showings at the local theater and cannot decide. I've narrowed it down to two:

Either 1. Day & Knight

Or 2. The Last Airbender

I cannot pick which one I want to see (or don't want to see the least). Let me get your opinion here & quick. Please, no spoilers. And I am adding in a third option since I know people are going to complain:

3. Something else.

TLA is 8% on Rottentomatoes. Knight & Day is 53%.

FWIW.

Yeah... See, there aren't that many matinee choices. I figured someone might say one of those but there are no showings in the timeslot I have to go in. There is a total of five movies showing that I could go to; one of which I've seen and two really aren't appealing. A-Team, Shrek, Twilight, Knight & Day, and The Last Airbender.

The first threee I just gave Das Boot to and just couldn't decide between the last two.

Shrek 4 was decent, probably the second best Shrek I'd say.
Shame Grown-Ups isn't an option... I'd definitely go with Day and Knight out of those two. Airbender doesn't look very good at all to me.

I've heard from everyone who's watched The Last Airbender that its not very good all around except for the special effects.

Also...do you really want to sit around watching a romantic adventure comedy starring tom cruise??

Go with the A-Team
It took a while for you to find me; I was hiding in the lime tree.

Nothing good 'til Inception. Oh I still need to see Toy Story 3 though. And I read a good review of Despicable Me, but that's probably more an 'if you're in the mood for that kind of thing" thing.

If I ever watch that movie, it will be on DVD... And because someone else had wasted their money on it... and there was nothing better available...

The Last Air Bender was the crappiest movie I've ever seen in the theater. . .well, except for the Wickerman. 10 minutes into TLA I actually was wishing I'd gone to see Twilight instead.
My blawgh.

definitely go with the A-Team. I laughed my ass off at the STTNG reference.

I would recommend going to IMAX & watching "Hubble".

Ok, so I'm in the same boat tonight, but no restrictions on movies. Should I see A-Team over Predators? or how about something else?
2010-07-11, 4:44 PM #14
None of them really excite me, unfortunately :()

Also recommending A-Team. It's only pretty loosely inspired by the original, but it's still a lot of fun.

The gang voted on Predators. I heard it was sorta lame, but I'm only looking for a warm dark place to get my fondle on, y'dig, so it's ok. It's going to be ok.

Go see The Last Airbender. Better than Toy Story 3 IMO.

Between your choices, I hear Knight and Day is a waaaaaaaaaay better movie than the critics made it out to be. I guess it has some shoddy cgi, but it's apparently very funny and entertaining, while also being a tightly paced action movie.

Predator doesn't strike me as a movie to get your fondle on to.
