I bought a new truck, 2004 Canyon, a month ago and it's an awesome vehicle, i have no complaints with the truck at all, my problem is that the state of kansas lost the title to the vehicle and my 30 day tag is up today. I went in to register and tag the vehicle last week only to be told that the e-title had not yet been delivered. Called the dealership where i got the vehicle and they said they sent it in 3 days before.

This is where I was told that the state had lost the title and I would need to get a courtesy registration request from where i bought the truck so the state could issue a tag without my having the title, but it could not be done until the 30 day tag was up.

So I wait another few days and go talk with the dealership only to be told that the state office in Topeka doesn't take calls on Monday. So I'm stuck with a 30 day tag that expires today and no way to get it tagged until tomorrow after the 30 day expires.

WTF State of Kansas?

When I transferred ownership on my Corvette, the CA DMV lost the paperwork and I had to refile and pay another $32. :argh:

Good thing I don't drive it everyday.

I once got a defective license tab sticker that fell off my plate. They made me pay again to get a new one. *******s.

I haven't had a trash bin for my house for a full month. They said they'd get one out to me "ASAP" but I guess it wasn't possible to get one out for 4 weeks. Now whenever I call it goes straight to their voicemail. No reply. I'm seriously considering throwing bags of trash at the garbage truck while it zooms by my house.

They also failed to update my information when I got my license renewed, so all the information except for the picture describes me at age 16. For the next year my license will continue to say that I am 40lbs lighter and 2 inches shorter than I really am.

Easy solution to the trash pickup : Don't pay them.

That works if you hire a private company yourself to do it. If it's provided by your city and you're paying for it through taxes, it's a little more difficult and the repercussions for not paying are a little more severe.

Yep. Well, it is a city-run waste management thing, but you pay them directly. however, that bill is the same bill as ALL of the local utilities, so if you don't pay your trash pickup bill, you're also not paying for you water, or gas. Electric is separate, but guess what? They've failed to bill us for the past month as well...or it got lost in the mail, or my roommate screwed it up (he screws lots of things up, but so does the city, so I figure it's even money).
