Eva Mendes hits on a 16 year-old...his mom protects him

The kid was asking a question during the Q&A, and the cast were kind of having fun with him -- calling the textbook Comic-Con attendee a gang member and so on. But when Mendes told him he was really cute, the kid bounced right back and said, "I'm available, you know that." Mendes' response: "Are you legal?"

Ferrell began chirping in his best Danger Will Robinson voice: "Boner alert, boner alert."

Why was the kid going to Comic-Con with his mom in the first place? Isn't that awkward enough already? Even more so if they're both cosplaying.

Wow. A comic con panel degenerated into silliness? That's shocking.

This story is silly and boring! But while we're here, hey Cloud, how's it going?

This story is relevant to Cloud's interests.

Guys I would think Cloud is too old for teachers by now.
Looks like we're not going down after all, so nevermind.

dang. I read as "Eva Mendes hits a 16 year old... his mom protects him."

I am disappointed.
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.

Yeah, but he'll never be too old for older women.

Not even when he's 100? He'd be down to just a few women in the world by then >_>

I feel like this 130 year old girl and I have some kinda connection...like the other day she said, in front of the whole nursing home, "Back in the old days, cancer was a life threatening condition...Cloud will know what I'm talking about" and she gave me this sort of knowing look...
Looks like we're not going down after all, so nevermind.
2010-07-25, 4:26 PM #14
Oh come now, last time I checked Eva Mendes was never a teacher. Also I don't only go after older women, I do like Scarlett Johansson and Keira Knightley too....okay they're two years older, but that's beside the point. At least I'm not like Aaron Johnson.

I doubt people here seriously think you would be just like when you were a horny schoolkid. :P

I interpreted it as her being a smartass to the kid... not actually hitting on him...

I never understood the need to add "in my opinion" after a post. I mean, clearly the result of you posting it is typically going to be understood that it is indeed your own thought. I think the average person is smart enough to understand that IMO.

I think it's for the people who don't realize it.

Maddox put it well. Something like,

"I think XX sucks ass."
"Well, that's just your opinion!"
"No **** sherlock, who else's would it be?"

Some forumers (though no massassians that I can recall) get pissed off at you for stating something and NOT putting IMO on the end. Even saying things like "if you at least put IMO at the end of that you wouldn't sound like an ass"

But yeah, I never put IMO at the end of anything, preferring to take Maddox's approach.

I suppose you could be mistaken for saying someone elses opinion ?

I think you're putting the emphasis on it being YOUR opinion, and not it being your OPINION. The point people are making when they say 'that's just your opinion' is not that it is in fact something you personally believe in, but rather that what you said may not be grounded entirely in fact because it's just, you know, like, an opinion, man.

DO NOT WANT.

But it's often used in response to something that is obviously opinion.
Either way, unless they're trying to say it's fact then the "it's your opinion" response is usually pretty pointless

But that's just my opinion =p
