Does this sort of thing often happen in buses or trains? Because I don't see how comic-con being to crowded as good enough reason to stab someone in the face with a pen.

It's not. San Diego Convention Center is plenty big enough. I had enough room to navigate. Yeah it got crowded in some areas.

This fool instead of putting the kibosh on his temper and enjoying the rest of Comic Con, will now go spend some quality time just a few blocks away in the San Diego County Jail with a felony assault with a deadly weapon charge (I think it is a felony charge). Doesn't matter what city Comic Con is held, dumbasses are abound.
