Steam UI, thoughts on it now?

I recently switched to the new Steam UI after months of using the old Steam version. Actually, that's not entirely true. It was a strange mash-up of the old Steam with new Steam after I somehow botched joining Steam Beta program (it created a Steamtmp.exe which I have been using). Unfortunately, everytime I launched it, it would create a memory dump file, and now, as of recently, Valve won't let me connect to servers. Oh well.

Anyway, what do people think of the new Steam after some months of use?

I'm not going to say the old Steam was automatically better because I haven't had much experience with the new UI. But, for one, is there a way to view just a simple list for my games like back in the old version? I mean, there is a "small mode," but it doesn't stay that way when I close/open Steam.

The achievements/friends/useless details coupled with an alternating background is ...nice and all, but is it possible for the GAMES list to be like the MEDIA and TOOLS list?

For the most part, everything acts pretty much the same.

I've been on the new UI so long that I don't even remember what old UI looked like.

That being said, I think the new UI works great.

Games list view is pretty much the same as media/tools, just with icons on the left.

I absolutely love the new UI, if for nothing else than the new ingame UI and browser.

View options at top right corner of library. Click the middle button.

I don't like it. I think the old game list was better.

I haven't used it enough to make an informed decision.

Some of the games list options aren't my cup of tea, otherwise it's stonking!
nope.

There are a few problems, but the in-game overlay is a lot better.
Hey, Blue? I'm loving the things you do. From the very first time, the fight you fight for will always be mine.

Being able to sort games by category is amazing.

What did the old UI look like again? All I remember is that it took me like 5 minutes to find my games when the new UI was forced on us.

The overlay is pretty clean, though.
