Also internet problems....

So I'm in a bit of a bind, I'm hoping one of you fine gentleman (or ladies) will be able to help me.

My e-mail address is ___@serjicalstrike.com, and when I first moved into my condo, I was able to connect to it just fine. For some reason, now I can't access the website serjicalstrike.com or my e-mail (on the same server) from home, but I can access both of those things from work and other places just fine. At work it's a hardwire connection, so perhaps it's something to do with my e-mail / wifi settings. I'm just not sure where to begin, Internet problems have never been my strongpoint.

(Also, e-mail used to function just fine on works wifi as well, but now I have to be hardwired to check it. Problems started right around the time I set up my e-mail on my phone. Coincidence?)

The reason this is an issue, today specifically, is because I'm sick as a dog, my phone charger is at work, and I need to check my e-mails.

Help me Massassi. You're my only hope.

Something on your computer is redirecting internet traffic (Virus, whatever)

or

Your ISP is blocking it for some reason. (I know a lot of them block the default pop3 ports, because they want to force you to use their e-mail service, which is idiotic, and any good e-mail provider has alternate ports just to tell the ISP to **** off, but who knows why they would block that website.)

I tried using some of the alternate ports, I'm still getting nadda. I just find it weird that I can check mail on my phone, at work (while plugged in) but NOT at home on the wifi, or at work on the wifi. It's very particular.

I'm assuming your Wifi at home is a community, or building shared, connection? If not, can you not hardwire into that to test it (to see if it's your ISP). Maybe try a google proxy or something, not sure if it would work, but hey... I've got no other suggestions.

If it's a pop/imap email you are trying to connect to. Just link it to a gmail account.

It doesn't work on the wifi at work either? The entire website? That's a new detail and very strange.

Sounds like a DNS issue with the wifi adapter to me. It's nearly impossible to tell without know what error you're getting when trying to access the site though.

Make sure that at home your router isn't blocking certain ports. I blocked a bunch of ports to stop my roommates from torrenting and ended up blocking the port that handles all email connections and no email worked until I reinstated the ports.

Step 1: Does pinging your server work?
