They aren't, but only because "fetish" is used to describe sexual preferences that are less normative (and, generally, held in contempt). Us Americans have an obsession with hairless women, which is a fetish par excellence, except that almost everyone shares it. ermmmm.... i think that is still considered taboo.... i mean whatever floats your boat. theres not anything illegal about it as far as i know. but, yes, pretty sure its frowned upon.

I know a kid whose aunt was the model for Heavy Metal FAKK2/pornos. He wasn't related to her, and would tell kids how he loved getting hugs from her. Everyone always thought it was really weird, but now I'm seeing the whole thing in a different perspective.
