I miss this show. Watched a few eps over the weekend, laughed good. *sigh*

I just watched some of the second season yesterday, I really do miss it. I heard they're half done writing the movie script. Let's hope it makes it to production.

By far the smartest show ever written. Ever. period

I've seen each episode at least 30 times, and I find new jokes every time. Every single time.

I've only watched it a handful of times, but I agree. It's amazing to me that, in the first season, they have jokes already going on in the family. Jokes that you won't even get until after you've watched, then began to re-watch the show. It really makes you appreciate how much detail went into the writing.

There are punchlines in the last episode that are set up in the first.

Also, pay attention to the 'on the next...' segments. There are very often gags in them that never actually appear in the next episode. Or ever again, for that matter. I remember there being such a gag that appeared in 'on the next...' and again in the 'previously on...' of the next episode, without ever actually appearing in an episode. But I don't remember what gag it was.

Also also : Banana Grabber.

There are few exceptions to the rule that the "on the nexts" don't actually involve the next episode.

Mr. F.

But all in all my favorite gag/person was the one-armed guy and his lessons. Especially that later episode which had a bunch of "And that's why you don't..." lessons stacked on each other.

Definitely one of my definite favorite comedy series along with Scrubs, Monty Python's Flying Circus and A Bit of Fry and Laurie.

Nice to see that at least one person on the show got a career out of it.

Most of those people actually are doing well in other movies/shows.

Yeah, and those are even the easy ones. Check out all the foreshadowing of Buster's hand with the stuffed seals and the claw games, the signs/graffiti gags ("Wee Br---ain" with Rida, "I'll get you Bluths, Hello" on the banana stand being pulled out from the water).

One of my favorite new ones that I noticed recently is during the episode where Buster has his accident, they are talking to Barry Zuckercorn (The Fonz, aka Henry Winkler) and he says he's going to burger king, and he jumps over the shark that they caught. All being a big gag on when Henry Winkler jumped over the Shark in Happy Days :)

That's not really foreshadowing; it's after Hello is introduced and before we find out his name is actually Hello; but we know that everyone is calling him hello in Korean. I remember the first time I saw that episode, knowing immediately who did it.

That is true, but the reason he takes down the banana stand is because his father was the one who had the idea for the banana stand in the first place and the Bluths copied it, as we find out in the finale. So the MOTIVE behind why he dumped the banana stand in the water was foreshadowing :P
