Any Massassian writers by chance?

I'm looking for another/different lit. agent or agency. Preferably someone more reputable than the last one I tried working with.

This is the second time I'm trying to get one of my books published. First time, however, that I am going to see it through to the very end. The first time that I did try was with a completely different novel than what I have now. I was young, didn't quite know a whole lot. So I didn't know that most agents/agencies prefer unfinished, or recently started, works over a finished piece. A lot of places would not even look at it because it was complete. I didn't think about just sending a partial draft because, again, I was young and stupid.

Anyways, I also didn't know that some agents/agencies only deal with certain publishers and/or genres. So when I found someone to look at it or even think about taking it, it was someone who was in an entirely different genre. When I heard back from them, they pretty much wanted everything different. So much that I couldn't even call it something I wrote with a clear conscience. I was young (still am) and too proud (which I'm better now) to go through with it.

I realize now that, yes, they wanted a completely different book. One in their market that they could actually sell. I didn't think about it at the time, but I could have just written the damn book they wanted me to write and save my original idea for later... after I was published.

In any case... The point is now I want to play ball. I have a new novel that I actually want to see the light of day and I am going to try this time. Sooo... Any other Massassians write in here? Because I need to find a new literary agent. One whose main focus is on mysteries or suspense. The novel is a kind of modern noir. So it fits the first two genres as well as reality fiction.
