HEre's the deal i got an computer with radeon 9700 and pentium 2.8c with 2 gig of ram, running window xp profesional.

allright i got latest patch and all of that ****, so i install warcraft 3 and it install fine then whenever i start it up if i click or press any keys during the movies i get a pink boulder then it crashes to desktop, same if i wait untill the movies end and game start, it crashes to desktop again, same with frozen throne, even with all the patches on etc....

so help

anyway yeah i already got the newest patches newest driver, and the thing is the same thing happen with warcraft 3, warcraft 3: frozen throne, with and without the patch, regardless it still happens and i tried competability modes no luck.

Well, if it wasn't a Pentium Celeron I'd pity you :/. I have a P700 Celeron, and yet it still runs WC3, so I have no frellin idea what the problem is. Try contacting blizzard, they helped me through a lot of problems that had nothing to do with the actual game. They're cool.

Cant help with your problem but:

the reason why i have 2 gig of ram is because i do lightwave animation and i do heavy lightwave stuff, i would had gone for an dual xeon system or an dual athon 64 system but they were little out of my price range plus this was also going to be an gamer machine to so....


and btw 2.8c does not stand for celly it stands for version C of pentium 4, aka the one with 800 FSB and hyperthreading on it.

and as of wtf my problem is, i dunno what it is i'm clueless i'm like going WTF is this ****, and still haven't figured it out

Interesting I have the same thing and no troubles... maybe WarCraft 3 can detect that your have to much RAM and is now cursing your computer. Just joking.

Try getting the previous version of video card drivers. I've heard that the lastest version screwes up Neverwinter Nights, and it might do something to WCIII also.

I have a Radeon 9700 too and the game runs flawlessly.

Try going into the Display Properties -> Display -> Monitor and disabling DDC. This should do it. If not, try running the game in Open GL, by adding the following to the war3.exe: -opengl.

I've never seen that problem.

My problem with Warcraft III is just always getting my *&# handed to me.
