30 days of revisions/undeletions only applies if you're a free member. Paying members get forever.

There's a lot of reasons I like it:
1. It's extremely reliable. Yeah, my webserver is pretty reliable too, but considering Amazon S3 is the backend of Dropbox, it's not going anywhere.
2. It's automatic. When I save something to the Dropbox, it's synced. I don't need to check it out or anything like that. If changes happen it's smart enough to only upload the differences, meaning it's quick too.
3. I can even use it on my phone, natively. I can, and often do, make changes to things like my novel, and have it instantly sync back. I also keep some SNES ROMs on it for easy access :P.
It's obviously not a replacement for git/SVN, nor will it ever be. But for general use cases, I think it's hard to beat.
