Altiris Agent

Any IT (or not, I guess) know what Altiris Agent is? It's in my startup list on my work PC. Searching brought up some vagaries, but I still don't understand what it's for. All I know is Altiris was bought by Symantec.

I believe it tracks installed software for a variety of maintenance, security etc concerns.

So if I installed JK/MotS on that machine, our IT guy will know?

He will know, and HE WILL PUNISH YOU.

Actually, he'll probably want to play, but I don't want to stir the pot. Some of my students are interested in game design and such and I thought about showing them the Legacy of Yun level I made for MotS a million years ago.

If they have a good sense of game history (play older games), they'll love it. If not, they'll call it crap and wonder where the "graffix" are.

Or the most likely option:

They'll see this thing called jk.exe running and have no clue as to what it is. :P

Hmm... a quick google search (which is what I would do if I was an IT guy trying to figure out what an unknown process was) reveals that there are several malicious "jk.exe" executables out there.
