So for those of you that don't look at the Showcase forum I had a thread a while back where I built a guitar. After a while I've realised that my spur of the moment decision to build a stratocaster was silly seeing as I don't really like strats. :P

Anyway, I'm rebuilding it into a telecaster at the moment and I want a little input on the pickguard because I can't make a decision. Sorry about the awful 30 second photoshop on one of the options. :awesome:

Black, and what would be cool is if you could, instead of the white inlay on the black, get it in abalone. The parker guitars in sunburst come with an abalone inlay and it looks boss.

Black. The off white doesn't match any of the other colors so it looks out of place

If the off white was just normal white, and matched the other white that's on other parts of the guitar, then I MIGHT say white.

So black all the way.

Hey for anybody that cares I started building this thing. There's not that much involved so I'm not doing a showcase thread this time around, but here's a WIP shot of the new project next to what's left of its organ donating brother.

I'm going to ask the dumb question so nobody else has to. What's the difference? I mean obviously they look a little different, but in terms of like practical use or mechanics [and why one or the other would inspire hate].

They just sound different. Also the strat has a tremolo system whereas the tele doesn't. Don't know why anyone would hate a guitar, it's just a guitar.

Yeah these 2 guitars are probably going to play completely different..

Ah cool that's what I was wondering. I figured different guitars were better for different things, but I don't really know about music.
