The Sixth Annual Great Massassian Christmas Card Send
2010-11-09, 10:19 AM #1
It's time for the Great Massassian Christmas Card Send yet again! This is now the sixth year I have been sending out cards.

Fun facts from the last five years:
 • Nearly 100 domestic cards have been sent
 • Nearly 50 international cards have been sent
 • Approximately $175 USD has been spent on postage
 • Cards have been delivered to 9 countries across 4 continents
 • Three cards were lost/undelivered by the various postal services
 • Fourteen cards had pictures drawn inside
 • The furthest card traveled 8000 miles for the cost of $.78 USD (in 2006)
 • The closest card traveled only 28 miles
 • The distance covered by the cards sent has been enough to circumnavigate the globe 7.7 times
 • I have received back 9 cards

So anyway, on to year six.

Follow the guidelines below in order to receive your card:
The deadline for submitting your information is November 30 . That is three weeks from today.

Sorry, you missed it.

You will send an email to the address specified below. The email must include the following information, formatted as seen below:
Forum name
Real Name
Street Address
City, State, Region, Zip, Postal Code, etc
Country
Please specify which name you would like to appear on the envelope, and which name you would like to appear inside the card. In the past, some folks have wanted to avoid having their internet associations made known to family and roommates, while others have embraced it.

And, as always:
 • There is no cost to the recipient
 • All you need to do to receive a card is submit your info correctly
 • No cards will have malicious contents
 • No recipient information will be used for anything other than sending cards
 • No recipient information will be shared with anyone
 • No monies will be accepted to help pay for cards or postage
 • There is no limit to the total number of cards I will send, but I can only send one per address/user
 • I will only send cards to forum members (no brand new registrations, or "please send a card to my friend/sister/cat")
 • Please don't be a dick and send me bogus info. I pay for this out of pocket. Par avion can get pricey.
 • Feel free to send me a card. My address will be in the next post.

Send your email to
MassassiChristmas@gmail.com Sorry, you missed it.
on or before November 30 .

And for the sixth year in a row I will not ask Steven to send me a card. :)

Edit: Actually, I am tempted though.

I guess either happydud really, really likes Christmas cards, or the life of a Parkour Master is tragically unfulfilling

LAST DAY
2010-12-10, 11:19 AM #20
I sent out the last of the cards today -- keep an eye on your mailboxes!

Thanks to everybody who participated. 18 cards sent out this year.

I also received very nice cards from Tony and Roxima (quesadilla_red). Thanks!

Glad to hear you got it.

I sent a few other cards to America, and I got word they got there in about five days. Personally I was amazed they got there that soon, even given the slightly ****ty weather we've had.
