So I was watching a re-run of Stargate Atlantis when a major plot hole was brought my to my attention

Sheppard is in the military right? So what the hell is with his super stylish geled hair?
2010-11-12, 4:45 PM #18
That's not a major plot hole, but yes it is odd.
Real answer: Sex Appeal
Nerd Retcon- He was in special forces, apparently they don't give two ****s about hair.

When you're a spy, blah blah blah blah, blah blah blah herp derp.

If you can't make C4 in your kitchen using everyday household items, you are inept, etc. etc.

That being said, <3 Burn Notice.

Yeah, it's a stupid show. I like it.

When you're spy, you have to drive a Hyundai Genesis. The Genesis has a million horsepower and it can drive on ice as well as lava. Sometimes when you're running from bad guys, you need a car that can go underwater or is bulletproof. When your car can do anything, you can be an awesome spy.

oh shi my bad guys that's the Mach 5 not the Hyundai Genesis

Michael Weston taught me that a couple of cans of canned air (for cleaning electronics) can freeze a padlock, allowing me to break it.

These 'when you're a spy...'s are cracking me up for some reason.

This is actually true, assuming it's a crappy padlock.

When you're a spy, you quickly come to realize that sex is part of the job. Repeated sexual encounters strengthen your cover and build trust with your mark. That doesn't mean you get emotionally involved. In fact, it means that you often have to fake being emotionally involved. Fortunately for most men, this is relatively easy. The key is communication. If you can fake communication, you're cover is secure... at least for the moment.

When you're a spy, you need to know how to manage your information sources. Posting on internet message boards is a great way to get intel about people that you might not get any other way. A top spy will often lurk on the forums for hours, waiting to make a witty comment or cutting remark that will help integrate them into the community. But that assumes you have a lot of time to prepare. If a spy is in a rush, he'll use 4chan.
