He was only one of the greatest stage presences in the history of mankind. It's no wonder that someone hasn't heard of him. It's not like millions of people stomp their feet & clap their hands to the beat of one of his band's most popular songs at sporting events or anything like that. I wouldn't expect anyone to have heard of AIDS either & certainly not the most famous person to ever have die from it.

It's like saying "I've heard of the Beatles, but who the poop is this John Lennon/Paul McCartney guy?".

I could understand someone saying "Roger Taylor/Brian May/John Deacon who?", though Brian May to a lesser extent, but not knowing who Freddie Mercury is seems really really odd to me.

I actually know a guy that didn't realist that John Lennon was one of the beatles until a few years after he died. This man is 50.

Anybody who didn't know who Freddy Mercury was and wasn't a troll would have either found out who he was through google and posted, found out who we was through google and not posted, or simply ignored the thread
