Looking to build a cheap gaming PC in time for the holidays. What do you guys think? I'm not including a CD/DVD drive for now to save some money.

ATi has the current best value video card offerings in the 5770 and, if you can actually find one at MSRP, 6850/70. Meanwhile Intel has the i5 750/760 for some great processors. Course if you are looking for cheap, AMD has you there. Too bad you can't wait until January when all the new **** rolls out, **** you BIOS get out.

If you can hold off on the whole thing you won't regret it, look up sandy bridge and bulldozer.
