Thanks everyone! It went really well. The position is for website and mobile QA. Coolest interview I've done yet. Went out and got a nice fancy cup of coffee!

Anyway, it looks ridiculously more promising than my last employer so I'm excited.

Well, if everyone's jumping on the wagon... I just had an interview earlier today with the university I graduated from.

So, much luck to us all, then.

I've only had four interviews in my whole life, but all four resulted in an offer of employment.

Coincidentally, I'm interviewing three candidates this week. I only have one position to fill. I narrowed it down to these three from a pool of over 100 applications.

Vibes all around!

I'm looking to hire an audio engineer who also has some experience with programming lighting on a Jands Vista T2 or T4 console. The pay isn't too good, but you would have the coolest boss ever! :awesomelon:

Unfortunately, I have no experience with audio engineering or programming lighting. :(

Hahaha, that's awesome.

Mine was okay. I got asked the usual algorithmic dribble and nothing meaningful about my past experiences. I got a crappy answer over the phone, but didn't have time to finish it. He told me to follow up with an e-mail to finish it, which was a first. The answer was obvious about two minutes after I hung up the phone (happens every time).

Later I found out Amazon has **** working conditions and works their employees to death (50-60 hour weeks are expected). So if I don't get called back, **** em anyway.

All my interviews went just dandy. Both were scheduled for 30 minutes, but went about 45-50 minutes which is always a good sign. Hope I get 'em :)

Got my job! Woooooo

Sounds like at i got the other one I applied for in SF as well. These jobs are just falling off the job tree herpderp. I'm taking this one here in Madison though cuz it's slightly more income, costs of living are waaaaaay cheaper, plus I do love Madison! Excited to start earning some real cash!

For the record, I'm working for the Value Added Research Center at University of Wisconsin. They do value added and fixed effects estimates and regressions and work with districts around the country to help improve testing, teacher performance, and of course more realistic and substansive test score growth. I'll be doing some statistical modeling and coding in R and STATA and helping with summaries, data cleanup, regression analysis, etc.
