The new FF4 beta is out, and it's basically chrome. I just installed it so I don't have a whole lot to say yet, but it does seem faster out of the gate.

Edit: Flash sounds aren't working for me, though :-/

It's only been out for like... months?

No Flash sound issue here, either.

Oh hey, apparently this came out earlier than when I posted this thread, maybe you guys have had some time with it so you can share your opinions!?

The Flash beta ended up fixing my problems.

I shared my opinions months ago when it came out. :colbert:

Anyway, it's buggy a bit, I've had it crash a few times, and Flash likes to crash a lot in it for no discernible reason as well (it's almost as if Firefox thinks its crashed when it didn't). The speed totally outweighs the small issues though. GPU rendering for the win.

Whilst you're ragging on Kirbs, I never knew it was out and I'm pretty interested to be honest. :colbert:

Don't suppose there's an option to move tabs back under the address bar? Tab placement is pretty much my only major gripe with chrome.

When it goes release I'll probably switch back from Chrome because of functioning adblock.

Actually it's under Options, and thank you. That was my only gripe, too. I felt lazy but it really is a hassle to reach across the bookmarks/url bar.

UGH I hate having tabs that high up!!!

It makes things very fustrating on my laptop since I have one of those quick launch bar things, so every time i go to close a tab that bar pops up instead

What weirdass version are you running? That menu in the upper left hasn't been there for at least a couple versions.

Edit: oh, I see, you disabled the menu bar. You're crazy, I can't stand it that way.

Oh I didn't realize that was a setting, mine came that way. At first I didn't like it, but I like all the screen space I have, and I use hotkeys for most of those things anyway.

It seems very stupid to me that they don't put the tabs in line with that orange Firefox menu thing.
