Um, it's the 24th :downswords:
2010-12-24, 10:44 AM #3
I think it's already the 25th in Australia, however, in Finland most of the Christmas celebrations (i.e. gifts and ham) are held on the Eve.

Oh yeah, my stash:
* 60 euros
* "Tuntematon Sotilas" by Väinö Linna... it's a Finnish book... *shrug*
* Two shirts

... Yeah. Since like 1998 I've been buying my own presents but starting from 2009 I stopped doing that (even though last year it was because I wanted to get TODOA finished so I refrained from doing almost anything else). This year I just thought "meh whatevs".

Post em!

(My family has a tradition that we always get pajamas on Christmas eve. Guess it's a pretty common tradition, other people are mentioning it too on facebook.)

I got these from the Star Wars lady at church (even though it's not Star Wars):

I got this from a friend that works at Verizon (the R2 unit, not the kid - got the kid on sale 8 years ago):

I got this from a good friend. Flies like a turd with wings, but still fun to mess with. Apparently it excels at turning upside down and crashing.

And a student got me a poster of this. Well, her mom did. I'm pretty sure the girl was clueless. Anyway, it's big and awesome.
[Edit: Screw it. It won't display the resized image. It's the "Star Wars Rock Band" picture, poster sized.]

Also received a few bits of clothing from my in-laws, and $500 from my mom, but most of that went to replace a radiator.

I got a toolbox for going off to college next year. And Oblivion GotYE for Xbox because I've been playing Morrowind. Also the new Kid Cudi album. And some clothes. My uncle got me a harmonica, but this is the same uncle that got me a disc shooter, 200 foam discs, and a headlamp a couple of years ago, so I appreciate his humor/gift.
I had a blog. It sucked.

Also got the third book In the darth bane series, force unleashed 2 and assassins creed brotherhood.

A nook!! Which is being a real pain right now but I'm going to go ahead and hope that's just because it's Christmas and everyone who got one is trying to use it at once.

Clean perfume like I'd mentioned before, AAA card, underwear, shampoo, pictures in frames, and an air doo dad to keep in my car in case of tire issues. And the extended family Christmas shindig isn't till tomorrow!

I got:

  • Pandora One subscription
  • Amazon gift card ($30)
  • T-shirt
  • utility knife
  • six pack of Killian's Irish Red
  • a book entitled Beer for Pete's Sake
  • $190

The best gift, however, came a couple weeks ago. That being the peace of mind knowing that after the holidays are over, I'll actually be working.

Something I should have saved a little more to get myself this year! I really want a folding portable one, that still has space to write next to my notebook.

Christmas present was getting to go up to the Staples Center and watching the Lakers not show up to play at all and getting beat down by the Heat. :argh:

In fairness, it was still quite awesome to go there.
Code to the left of him, code to the right of him, code in front of him compil'd and thundered. Programm'd at with shot and $SHELL. Boldly he typed and well. Into the jaws of C. Into the mouth of PERL. Debug'd the 0x258.

Sister got me one of those I <3 boobies bracelets and another express sweater
Uncle and cousin got me $70 to guitar center

Dang some of you guys made out!

heh... Other than the previously posted pajamas, I got:
A very soft robe (from andrea)
An analog wall clock

Not really a whole lot, but I wasn't expecting much for Christmas this year. It was more about it being my family's (wife and child) first Christmas, and the act of establishing our traditions and making the holiday ours.

I got Andrea a gift set of CLEAN perfume (thank you sugarless), and I don't think she got anything else (though the wall clock was for both of us. And Elliot (our son) got a bunch of clothes, a few baby toys, some baby books, and a couple dvd's. (Most of his gifts came from Andrea's side of the family.. they got him gifts instead of her)
