yeah, that live action plot continues on in this, but is not resolved...which is weird that it wasnt resolved..

when he was talking about the millenium falcon not being in episode 3 he must have missed the quick shot where the falcon was shown (and before anyone argues with "it could have been any [model number i can never remember] freighter" you should damn well know george meant it to be the falcon)

At the time, the falcon belonged to some random shlub. So who cares.

It was also just fan service. What this guy is saying is that, in the story, the mystique of the falcon wasn't ruined.

And I suspect that the live action plot was not only an excuse to make more reviews of some sort, but a jab at the fact that the prequels didn't resolve anything at all, which even prequels should do.

im ashamed to admit i never noticed how lazy Lucas was when it came to his pure dialogue scenes..where both actors sit on a couch and the A and B camera just shoots their individual faces...then one stands up walks a few steps and turns around..now that i realize it..thats EVERY scene

it's hard to direct a movie and sit and drink coffee while everyone is moving all over the damn place

at least he was consistant with his dialogue scenes...

im thinking now, that if i had the power to make the prequels NEVER exist, would i do it or not...
2011-01-02, 4:07 PM #11
No. Instead, I am going to make a graphic novel of the proper version of the prequels.

Because George Lucas should have gotten his ex wife to edit the script, and Irving Kirshner to direct all three. Or Michael Bay, at least.

I can't wait for the eventual remake.
It WILL happen, just like every other massive franchise, I just wonder how long.

I enjoyed these when I first saw them, but the whole basement subplot just annoyed me to the point where I decided not to watch on. I know, I know, I'm a softie... :)

Why not? After he dies (No, I'm not saying his death would be a good thing, I'm not that much of a ****) someone else can carry the flame.

I just don't want Star Wars to be ruined, since the release of all that clone wars cartoon crap, for the first time in my life i actually feel a slight embarassment of being a star wars fan. Star Wars will go from being a classic that inspires children to just a poorly made money grab.

I accept the prequels, I don't think they are nearly as good as the original, but hell, they are their, they are what they are. I would never watch them nearly enough as the original trilogy, but I don't mind an occasional viewing. They are flawed in many ways though.

But give me a break with all this cartoon, computer animated crap. Star Wars was a classic adventure story about a young hero on a quest, who meets a princess, befriends a scoundrel/rogue and has a wise old teacher. We don't need a action cartoon to show us useless mindless action.

I know people were saying all of this **** during 1999, and then even more at 2005, but I'll be saying it until Lucas stops. I can't concieve why he is doing this. (Oh wait, yeah I can...$$$$$$$$).

I'll be there next year, 2012, at the midnight IMAX 3D screening of The Phantom Menace, and I'll be their for the release of the following movie each consecutive year. Hell, I'll probably even buy the Blu-Ray set...I don't even mind the changes as long as they don't change the story or cram even more useless CGI **** on the screen...

I support Star Wars..but the media that has been released since RoTS hasn't been Star Wars, Star Wars was a movie that took all of Lucas's effort and strenght to get done..this is just crap that took Lucas's lust for more money...

I give up

Today at work a kid was making a Wookie noise, so when I got onto the subject of Star Wars with him, he said Attack of the Clones was his favorite
