This is pretty awesome. Thankfully the guy seems... sort of aware of how to be safe while running around in the subway. I'd definitely like to see that one subway stop they went to, but not by running down the tracks.

It's neat, but also kind of stupid.

I mean the guy...maybe stupid isn't the right word. Just seems unnecessarily risky.

That is totally awesome.

I like how they add some interviews from the mole people they come across.

Is that really worth a half hour of my morning?

I posted it because I thought it was interesting. Go away.

My girlfriend is really interested in urban exploration. Anyone ever heard of the Seattle underground?

Yeah. They give tours of it leaving from Pioneer Square. All the entrances are locked up when you're not with a tour.

The underground here in Port Townsend has a coffee shop in it.

I agree with this. I mean, he is being kind of safe about things... but the risk of trains, electrocution, or just falling off a bridge...

That guy even kind of looks like the stalker from Stalker.

Pretty sweet. The Parkour (L)ollercoaster was pretty awesome too.

Pretty awesome. I love doing stuff like this, when I can. In middle school, I used to crawl around old drainage canals and stuff like that. I just can't fit into many places anymore.

Also the chatroulette video is worth a look. May contain many penises. Surprise!

I'm surprised they thought people in NY would care about a couple of white guys climbing into a sewer at 1am, that kind of goes against my uninformed perceptions of the place.

The MTA is so understaffed and the workers are usually apathetic to the situations in the stations that the MTA people down there wouldn't care to notice. That's why the stations themselves are often so much in disrepair, and people finds easy ways to skip paying tolls. The vast majority of the facilities are not attended by a single service employee (which sucks if you are a tourist needing directions) unless its under construction or a major subway hub (i.e. Grand Central).

Pfft... urban spelunking has a huge following where I'm at. There's so many run down forgotten places than the city knows what to do with. My friend Katie's a member of this one photography group that travels to large cities in the US. Chicago, NY, Boston, etc... I went with her one time in Detroit but chickened out when she wanted to go into Michigan Central Station.

Although, there is a lot of great photos and documentation out there. It's always interesting. Google it.

Rumor has it that the steam tunnels in the University District are worth investigation. It's a constant ~90 degrees, so it could be a good respite from the winter cold.
