I have a complex

I have minor back problems, and in an effort to help them I'm trying to sleep on my back as opposed to my side.

But, after about 20 minutes of laying on my back attempting to fall sleep, I get real antsy in my extremities, mostly in my fingers and toes it seems. Maybe my legs too. It becomes unbearable and almost torturous. Night after night I give in, turn over to my side, it instantly goes away, I can rest in peace (hur hur), and fall asleep.

Anybody experience something like this?

Almost identical, but I just thought it had to do with my scoliosis or back pain or whatever.

Yes. I sleep on my stomach in the bottom position of a pushup so that I can get up quickly.

I try every night to lay on my back and fail.

Wait this was spook, wtf.

Hey dude, how is your occupation United States? A-am I living on top of you!?!!?

And on the topic, I have minor scoliosis and have the same problem sleeping on my back. Though I've found it helps that while laying on my back I draw up my knees and lift my lower back off the ground/bed, then I'll hook my elbows to the top of my hips and push down and hold it for about 30 seconds and relax the muscles until my spine extends. Then I'll repeat for a few minutes then sleep on my side with blankets wadding between my knees and a small pillow under my side.

My back has improved a lot since I started doing this.

I have mild scoliosis and usually sleep on my side, flipping back and forth during the night.

I recently broke my right clavicle, and initially had to sleep exclusively on my back. It drove me crazy, and made me wake up with back/neck pain almost every day. There came a point where I was taking (milder) pain killers for the back/neck after my broken clavicle had stopped hurting in its default position (sleeping on side was still too painful/disheveling).

I understand the torturous feeling you're experiencing, it's awful.

I have sleep apnea thus sleeping on my back absolutely sucks. I usually wake myself up from my own snoring in that position, every 10-20 minutes.

I have an issue while sleeping in which sleeping on my left side I can't breath through my nose and I need to sip water all night or my lips and mouth start to chap and slip open... But if I sleep on my right side I can magically breath through my nose and enjoy a good nights rest. Sleeping on my back is a mix between both sides depending on the night. If I sleep at someone else place I don't have any problems..

Usually doesn't matter with me. I'm one of those people that move, twitch, kick, toss, & turn in my sleep. I'll fall asleep on my back one night, then wake up face burried on the otherside of the bed in the morning. I've woken up on the floor more than once. Apparently I slept through rolling out of bed completely.

It kind of pisses off some of the women that end up staying in my bed. Especially if they're laying across or partially on me. That & sometimes I grind my teeth.

Some scoliosis here, I sleep on my side or front. I can fall asleep on my back, but only if I'm tired or drunk.

Why do so many Massassians have scoliosis?

Slouching at computers? It also depends on what came first. Perhaps people who aren't able to be as physically active use the internet more often, so your average user is more likely to have at least a minor physical disability? I also believe mild scoliosis is relatively common if I recall, and everyone has some amount of unique curvature to their spine.

All true, however, there are some pretty active and (dare I say it) outdoorsy members here. I just found it to be strangely coincidental.
