DVD burning

I have several AVI files of concerts I have attended over the years. I wish to burn these to DVD, what is the best program you have found that will allow me to do this?

My main concern is really the audio/video sync.

Also, if there are easier ways that produce a better outcome (such as converting the AVI to a vob, etc) please feel free to explain.

If you don't care about total menu authoring control, Windows DVD Maker works like a charm with AVI files. I think that's only on Windows 7 though. If you don't have it, DVDStyler is an awesome open source authoring program. You could probably fix sync problems with DVDStyler.
