Post toys you've wanted or owned.

I always wanted:

GI Joe Hovercraft

Big Trak

Death Star Playset

These were a couple toys I owned, both worth much money right now. The first is a supposedly unproduced toy that I have vivid memories of.

Iguanos (Micronauts)

Rodan

I still have all my sets stashed away in storage with the directions... and in some cases, the original boxes.

Oh joy, a thread for me.
Rather than take up your time discussing what all I owned as a kid, I could begin by saying what I collect now. Right now, I collect Transformers. Lots of 'em. The main focus of my collection is the ongoing movie line, but not out of great love for it (though there are some awesome figures in it), more out of how easy it is to get ahold of.
My true passion, though, is the Classics line. This is where you get the toys you wished you owned as a kid.
I also collect non-transforming toys, some of japanese origin.

-Damn that was a hard post to make. And needless to say, not all (or even many) of these are intended for children. That Movie Optimus Prime, for example, costs 90 bucks, the Jetfire he's wearing costs around 40, and they combine into a deadly sharp statue covered in beautiful paint. Not really kid friendly.

Not really a toy, but this was the best damn thing I ever got. I played with this more than any of my other toys (except maybe legos).

5HP Briggs and Stratton engine. 1L gas tank mounted to frame right between the knees. Foot operated spoon brake was the only way to stop.

I loved that thing. I put thousands of hours on it. I rode it until it died. Literally. The engine case cracked from wear. Fuel leaked out and ignited. I bailed and it ran into a tree, shooting flames and throwing up dust and sticks. I dragged it home, put JB weld and rode it for another day or two. Didn't work. I put up fliers in the grocery store and sold it to some guy for $40 when I was 11.

Except for the all the kids toys, which are most of what you've posted. Such as all of the Transformers. Buster Prime's metallic paint doesn't retroactively remove the "Ages 5+" from the Hasbro release. It's still the same toy.

Only the figuarts and Revoltechs might not be considered as such, with their 15+ ratings.

I was really into hotwheels, imagine that. I Built cities in my basement with masking tape roads and cardboard box buildings. GI Joes were also fun.

That may be, Jin, but I don't care what Jetfire's box says. That thing could kill a fully grown man with its fully sharpened and totally firm pointy bits.
It's also a miserable toy, with an ugly robot mode and a boring transformation, and the bottom of the alt mode is really uninspiring, but the fact it combines (sorta) with Optimus is enough to elevate it's worth, and the alt mode is utterly gorgeous from above, so I don't mind.

-Also, as long as we're on the subject, what kid's gonna want Red Alert, really.

I played the hell out of Legos. But I also spent quite a lot of time making up elaborate crossover Star Trek/Jurassic Park disaster stories with my action figures. I also had My Little Ponies that fought with dinosaurs. I was a well-adjusted child.
Also, I can kill you with my brain.

Fyi, it was probably more as much a pain in the ass to read as it was to make... srsly...

you really should have just hotlinked all the images.

Also, I'm shocked no one's started whining about LEGO brick's vs legos yet.
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.

Well I didn't wanna imagespam the thread.

-Also, looks like I caught a leech image accidentally there. Eh, I'll fix it later.

I intentionally worded my post so I could avoid this argument, since I say "legos" in person all the time.

I forgot to add that the toys that I owned below are ridiculously expensive now. I've seen the Rodan go for upwards of $800 and I can just imagine what the Micronauts toy would be worth since all the references I see to it online say it was only shown in catalogs.

Lego and nerf guns.

Ah, just today I got a threesome of scout transformers.
Breacher is pretty awesome, a solid little vehicle that turns into a decently poseable figure. Not a fan of his gun, but given how much else the toy does right I can forgive it the one thing.
Sunspot is an evil little creamsicle UAV with a dozen little fan-modey deals. For one, he's got an official gerwalk mode, and for another there's pegs on his feet that can be used to make other figures hold him in his alt mode like a falconer. Right now, I got Cybertronian Prime using him as a shield. His robot and gerwalk modes also make him fit in really well with the War for Cybertron aesthetic, even if his colors are somewhat suspect. Especially for a decepticon. Almost wanna army-build this guy, I don't feel like I could have too many. Definitely gonna buy one and mail it to my bf...
Anyways, last was Firetrap, a figure I think I'd like more if I hadn't gotten two utterly badass figures at the same time. That pic has the arms transformed wrong, the flaps on his forearms fold up flush to give him some sleeves. The color scheme is drab and boring, but realistic and fitting. I kinda like the robot mode... but really, I've barely played with the figure at all next to Breacher and Sunspot.

-Wunnathesedays I gotta start taking pictures of some of my figures, so you can see 'em. Right now, I got the panther girl decked out with some heavy weapons so she can fight War Machine. He keeps hitting on her and she's gettin' annoyed.

I still have the GI Joe hovercraft!

I also have that original Optimus Prime.

I always wanted the original B-Wing fighter.

Had this at my grandmother's house growing up. Really wish it was still around.

Back in the mid '90s the re-release of that toy was a major inspiration for me to stop buying Star Wars toys. The new version is very nice, though, and much nicer than what was available back in the day.

I still have that Han & Tauntaun! I kept all my old SW toys from the 80's. Only I lost some parts of the 'Imperial Hoth base', and the dog ruined my X-Wing.
