I just don't like gross things. I hate scary movies and I started picturing this as a scary movie and it was like ARRRGH and the fact that it was real added anger on top of discomfort for me.

Ohhh.. cause I was gonna say the article is pretty mild compared to say.. a Saw or Hostel movie. I don't like them either, but mostly because I'm not entertained by killing and maiming.
