Used to play ghost n goblins on this bad boy as a wee child (4-5). I remember dad and I would load it up on the B drive, go downstairs to eat dinner, and by the time we got back up it was at 95%. Good times.

I also had one of these bad boys that I used with it:

I have about three of these in my closet still. Two have spill-resistant backlit keyboards even.

Panasonic Toughbook CF-17 I think is the model, about 128meg of RAM. 11-pounds of zombie-stopping processing power.

I'm fairly sure he's suggesting that our beloved game is ancient.

And he's right.

I think Emon will knitpick that Jedi Knight counts as software, not necessarily electronics. The only real electronic component of JK is the CD itself and even thats "ehhhhh".

Just my speculation.

Wow, you really read my mind as I was tempted to add some of these things to my toys thread.

I was born in 1970 and one thing that was vastly different than today when I was growing up was the grocery shopping experience. Many of the stores I went in had full fledged electronics sections located near the front of the store. Not only could you buy computers but rent movies along with the players. VHS or Beta and even SelectaVision. Some family friends gave me an Odyssey 2 system. I remember my parents giving me a Timex Sinclair 1000 and, later, a Color Computer 3. I always wanted a ColecoVision, Atari 5200, and a Coleco Adam. Oh, and a Vectrex too!

Oh, God, and you can just imagine the Apple and IBM stores of the day. Awesome!

My dad bought it over 30 years ago and my uncle broke the needle soon after. Got married, had kids, forgot about it.

My brother just hooked it up today with a brand new stylus.

Been spinning vintage rock albums like it's 1975.
