It looks interesting, what with the 60's era at play. I honestly don't recognize many of the mutants in this either.
What do you guys think?

It has the potential to be awesome. I have to confess I was interested by the trailer in any case, though there seems to be changes to the characters that seem unnecessary and possibly unwarranted. We'll see.

I like the idea of the 60s era, I just hope they don't make it so historically fantastic as to be stupid.

The movie wasn't bad, though IMO the game told the story better (weird I know)

Wolverine blew compared to the x-men movies

The first two are certainly arguable, but the last X-men movie was junk and the Wolverine movie was certainly better than that. I personally felt the Wolverine movie was good in itself -- Wolverine is a walking action story cliche, and the movie fits that. I feel it delivered on the "origin" premise as well.

I am a huge fan of Wolverine. It should be noted, though, that I haven't read most of his comics from the last decade so my views of the character are from mostly before they destroyed it. I enjoy the movie as a super hero action film but it is a travesty what they've done to him in film. If it wasn't for the fact that Jackman can pull it off and they have enough of what makes Wolverine cool in the films to keep it rolling they would all be garbage.

I have the opposite opinion. Except that I think Wolverine was decent, and the x-men movies all blew majorly.

Oh, to OP, there's also a Magneto movie coming =p

I was aware of the Magneto movie and Wolverine movie when they were announced. Though my understanding was that the Magneto movie went to developer hell. Though I haven't checked to see if anyone else has picked it up yet.

I think there is also a planned sequel to Wolverine, and a Deadpool spin off.
I cant say I'm particularly excited about any of them.
Though maybe First Class will change my mind.
